Chocolate Cake Recipe



for the dough:

°2c All-Purpose Flour

°2 c Granulated Sugar

°3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

° 2 teaspoons baking powder

°1 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder

° 1 teaspoon salt

° 1 cup milk

° 1/2 cup vegetable oil

° 2 eggs

° 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

° 1 c hot water

° 1 cup softened unsalted butter

° 3 1/2 cup powdered sugar

°1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

°1/2 cup milk

°2 teaspoons vanilla extract

° pinch of salt


Preheat oven to 180° vs .Grease two 9-inch round bowls with flour.

In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, bicarbonate and salt.

In another bowl, mix buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla extract.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.

Gradually add the hot water and stir until the mixture is well combined.

Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared cake tins.

Baking time 35 minutes

Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool in the molds for 10 minutes.

Remove the cakes from the tin and let them cool completely on the wire rack.

For the glaze, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer until it has a creamy consistency.

Gradually add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, vanilla extract and salt to the butter and beat until the mixture is well combined and homogeneous.

Freeze the cake when it is completely cool.
